Certified Childbirth Educator, Spinning Babies®️Parent Educator, Certified Labor Doula, Loss Doula, Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication

Birth is deeply personal, so your preparation should be as well! I teach evidence-based birth education with humor, honesty, and a deep respect for the birthing mother. We talk about bodies, babies, sex, relationships, emotions, advocacy, and what actually helps during labor. The course also empowers mothers to meet themselves in birth.

I’ve supported women becoming mothers since 2008, guided by the belief that every birth—regardless of circumstances—deserves dignified care and steady emotional, physical, and informational support. My own birth and postpartum experiences led me to pursue advanced training in birth trauma, cesarean recovery, birth physiology and movement, advocacy, and storytelling.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I married my college sweetheart, Mark, and we have three children—Earnest, Edith, and Quinn. We’ve been in Nashville since 2011! When we’re not immersed in our weekly schedule, you’ll find us enjoying the great outdoors, campfires, and good music.

Ongoing education includes training in considerations for holistic women’s health, including pelvic floor health, legal rights in childbirth, storytelling, healing birth trauma, bereavement support, and reducing unnecessary cesareans.
